“Luck doesn’t live on this side of the border”, says the former undercover operative Alejandro Gillick, played by Benicio del Toro. He is hired by the CIA agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) for a mission against Mexican drug cartels that are discovered smuggling jihadi terrorists across the Mexico-United States border. Being the sequel to the 2015 film “Sicario”, this time there are no rules, no limits to the violence in this criminal thriller. The missions takes a bad turn when the Mexican government finds out about it. Alejandro and Matt kidnap Isabela, a drug lord daughter, but when the agent orders her execution and Alejandro refuses to do it, he and the girl become fugitives.
