Director Werner Boote (Plastic Planet), together with the author Kathrin Hartmann and with the special participation of the MIT Professor Emeritus Noam Chomsky and activist Raj Patel, go on a quest of vital importance for us all. They seek the truth behind the promises of 'green products' and politics of sustainable production, fabricated by the large corporations. Boote and Hartmann find the sites where ecological catastrophes have had a devastating effect on the nature. Starting from Grand Isle and BP's oil pollution, caused by Deepwater Horizon; moving to the calamitous rainforests, burnt by Indonesian palm oil corporations; ending in Brazil where they see the consequences of cattle farming. After attending prestigious global events, dedicated to ‘green products’, Boote and Hartmann realize who big the ‘green lies’ actually are.
