26 people. The is the total population of the Belgian city of Doel. Since the 1960s the government makes efforts to convince its citizens to free the place to be used as container park. Although it sounds absurd, the people of Dole love their home place and don’t intend to move. They manage to protect their vandalized urban area against being demolished. While Dole is a city, squeezed between a major port and a nuclear power station, with school, shops and even church that are closed, its last inhabitants, young and old, are fighting to defend it to the end. Frederik Sølberg has created a humoristic, cinematic piece of the Sixth Art, which reveals the importance of our right to live where we wish even if it is a ghost town.
