His mentor and only friend Frank Minna (Bruce Willis) helps Lionel turn his weakness into a strength and use it for good. Unfortunately, our man’s condition causes Frank’s death. Eager to solve the mystery of that murder, Lionel is left to rely on very few clues, small pieces of a puzzle that doesn’t look connected. It is the 1950s and from Harlem to Brooklyn, Lionel goes around New York to learn one thing - don’t cross path with the most powerful man in the city.
" Edward Norton isn’t just brilliant in front of the camera in movies like ’Primal Fear’, ’Fight Club’ and ’Moonrise Kingdom’, just to name a few. Norton is a director as well, and right now his second movie ’Mortherless Brooklyn’ is out. The film is based on Jonathan Lethems book by the same name from 1999 and revolves around the private eye Lionel Essrog, who has Tourette’s syndrome. Norton’s visual language is a love letter to New York of the 1950’s, while the director himself plays the tenacious detective. "
