" There are few things as tender and pure as young love. In ‘Babyteeth’ we meet the young Milla, played by Eliza Scanlen, who is terminally ill but still insists on living her life. Milla meets the drug addict Moses and the two fall in love despite the great differences between their lives, and Milla's parents' obvious opposition. The film is Shannon Murphy's debut film and will have its Danish cinema premiere on September 17th. "
" Usually, coming-of-age dramas revolve around growing up and getting to know yourself and the harsh realities of life, but what if it isn’t certain, that you’ll get that far? ‘Babyteeth’ is about the terminally ill girl Milla, who rediscover the desire for life trough falling in love with the pusher Moses. The movie is Austrailien TV-director Shannon Murphy’s first feature film and it is reminiscent of Australian movies from the 80’s and 90’s such as ’Sweetie’, ’Celia’ and ’Love Serenade’. In the leading role as Milla we find Eliza Scanlen, who is currently also starring in ‘Little Women’. ‘Babyteeth’ will premiere in Danish cinemas on the 24th of September. "
