EditAus dem Nichts (2017)

This Golden Globe winning drama film of Fatih Akhin tells the story of Katjia (Diane Kruger) who lives in Hamburg with her husband Nuri Sekerci, a Kurdish man and an ex-drug dealer. Together they have a 5-year-old son Rocco. One evening, on her way back home, Katjia sees a police blockade and learns, terrified, that her husband and son were both killed in a bomb attack. Trying to learn the truth, Katjia cooperates with police but without success, since the investigation decides to work on a possible drug traffic case. She is so desperate that the only thing that keeps her away of committing a suicide is the thirst for revenge.
