Maya (Jennifer Lopez) is a frustrated woman in her 40s who is dissatisfied by her dull and low-paying job in a store. Surprisingly, she gets the chance to fulfill her dreams for a better career and a luxury lifestyle. During a job interview at a private finance firm, it appears that Maya has unintentionally mislead them that she is qualified to be a consultant for an international business deal. Maya is equally terrified and excited to make this step and move to an office at the legendary “Madison Avenue” but the people around her encourage her to jump into the unknown. “Second Act” is about being bold enough to take what you want from life instead of muttering against your faith. It proves that street smart people are not to be underestimated and when motivated they can unleash their potential.
