Ricky and Abbie are ordinary English people, living with their two children in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Like most families, they are carrying a financial debt since the 2008s world economic crisis. A new great opportunity occurs but a tough decision has to be made. A decision that is creating tension between the spouses and troubles the kids. Ricky is a delivery driver who would receive fees instead of wage for his work. He is renting a van from his employing company but is obliged to meet specific delivery targets. The new opportunity is to become a franchiser by buying his own van but to do this, Abby, who is a nurse, will have to sell her car. A car she needs desperately to visit her patients. And this is how husband and wife are forced to live in confrontation, struggling to support their family, instead of… simply love each other.
