Have you noticed how often big drama evolves from a small problem? It’s what happens in this Icelandic movie about neighbors and a tree. While it seems like a boring story in the begging, it quickly escalates to unforeseeable levels of hatred and malice. Atli is a young man who has troubles with his relationship with Agnes, who eventually kicks him out and forbids him from seeing their cute little daughter Ása. Atli has no other choice but moving back to his parents Inga and Baldvin, without expecting that their tree is in the center of an intensifying drama in this seemingly calm neighborhood. It is Konrad and Eybjorg, the next-door neighbors, who want the tree cut because it’s casting a shadow over their porch. What a big mistake was that!
