The year is 1999, and we meet two sisters, Celeste and Eleanor Montgomery, who have survived a devastating catastrophe. The girls find a way to use their talents as a creative therapy, in which Celeste is the brilliant performer and Ellie is the gifted songwriter. When they meet The Manager (Jude Law) - a man with the ability to discover genuine talents, the fame and fortune follow the sisters promptly. By 2017, the grown up Celeste (Nathalie Portman) rises from a damaged girl to an international pop star who, sadly, has turned into an arrogant, super selfish and even vulgar woman. Ironically, the pop star becomes an icon for the young people of 21 century, with lost innocence and without strong moral compass. During the tour in support of her sixth album, the totally confused Celeste struggles with personal issues, driving the people around her crazy.
