Julia Roberts has long ago proved that she is not only the 1990’s “Pretty Woman” as recognized by many but an accomplished dramatical actress who manages to portray complex characters in a convincing manner. In “Ben is Back” she is Holly Burns, a mother of the 19-year-old addicted Ben. The teenage boy surprises everyone when he appears in the suburban house of the family on the Christmas Eve. While Holly is happy to take his return as a the best Christmas gift she could imagine, Ben has a serious reason to seek his family, as he is in deep trouble. The next 24 hours after his coming back home are hectic, putting his relatives in danger and revealing unpleasant secrets about the boy.
