Based on real historical events from 1948, “The Tower” follows the days of a Palestinian girl, born in a refugee camp near Beirut, Lebanon. It is also a story of those ordinary people who had to leave their homes because a new country has been established by the Israeli. A story, told withe the artistic means of 2D animation and puppets. Wardi is an 11-year old Palestinian girl, living in a refugee camp with her family. While she was born in the camp and does not know much about the world outside it, Wardi's beloved great-grandfather, Sidi, still keeps the key of the family house in Galilee. One day he hands the key over to the little girl. Is this the end of the hope to go back home one day or the future is now in the hands of this young family member?
