The Call of the Wild

Harrison Ford stars in this adventure film, based on one of the Jack London's classical novels "The Call of the Wild" (1903). It is also a remake of the 20-th Century Pictures' film of the same name starring Clarke Gable and released in 1935. The story is set in the 1890s and we see Buck, a domesticated St. Bernard/Scotch Collie dog, living happily with his humans in their home in Santa Clara, California. Unfortunately, Buck gets stollen and then sold in Yukon, Alaska during the Gold Rush. Forced to server in the most rural part of the country in a dog sled team that delivers the mail, our furry friend soon becomes its leader. Despite of the many challenges Buck goes through, he proves that his instincts are strong and his loyalty - admirable.

" The last couple of years we have seen several movies with dogs in the leading roles and now all dog lovers can look forward to another one. ‘Call to the wild’ is based on Jack London’s book from 1903 by the same name and is a remake of Twentieth Century Pictures' film from 1935. The new version has Harrison Ford in the leading role and is directed by Cris Sanders, who has been behind many animated successes such as ‘Lilo & Stitch’ and How to Train your Dragon’. Besides Harrison Ford you also find Dan Stevens, Omar Sy and Karen Gillan among the cast. The movies premieres in Danish cinemas on the 20th of February 2020. "
