Emma

This is the latest adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic romantic comedy. It follows the rich and smart Emma Woodhouse whose sweet beauty makes her the queen of Highbury, a fictional village in England. In this small community, Emma rules over the minds of the girls but also over the hearts of the gentlemen in the area. As a pretty but spoiled young lady, Emma also overestimates her matchmaking abilities to a great point. Without realising the dangers that follow when you try to meddle in other people's lives, Emma is often lead astray by her own imagination. This film is a satire of the society and its sometime ridiculous rules. It shows how difficult it may be to find true love. It also wisely points the mistakes women and men do when they do not listen to their heart but let other people make choices instead of them.
