Neeta and Mishri are the son and the daughter of the two strongest candidates to become the local heads of their society. Surrounded by intrigues, dirty tricks and hostile atmosphere, these Indian Romeo and Juliet survive by falling in love with each other. As the drama around them escalates, Neeta and Mishri decide to hit the road and find happiness far and away from the rivalry of their families. However, when the young lovers are about to pay a hotel room to stay, the TV at the reception shows the Prime Minister Narendra Modi announcing note bandi – demonetization. This is the turning point of the story when their own world and the world of their relative falls into pieces.
