Biochemist Michael Morbius tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease, but when his experiment goes wrong, he inadvertently infects himself with a form of vampirism instead.
" The new movie in the Spiderman universe should have premiered in Danish cinemas on the 30th of July, but now Sony has decided to move the premiere to 2021, more precisely March 18th 2021. ‘Morbius’ is about the biochemist Michael Morbius who, after an attempt to cure his own rare blood disorder, obtain vampire like characteristics. The character first appeared in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Number 101, and the movie will focus on the origin of Morbius. "
" First came ‘Venom’ and now ‘Morbius’ in on the way. There have been some uncertainties as to what was going to happened with the Spider Man universe after the deal between Sony and Disney fell through last year. However, Sony hasn’t been resting, instead they have focused on the Spider Man villains. Morbius first appeared in the Spider Man comics in 1971, and has since both acted as his ally and enemy. The new movie seems to follow the original story quite closely, but how the movie is going to tie into the universe of the previous movies is still unknown. In the role as Morbius we find Jared Leto, while the film is directed by Swedish Chilean director Daniel Espinosa, who has actually attended film school in Denmark. The movie premieres in Danish cinemas on the 30th of July. "
