EditLady Bird (2017)

Teenage is an extremely challenging time for both boys and girls, from one side and their parents plus the rest of the society, from the other. In this drama comedy, we see the unsatisfied and restless Christine "Lady Bird" McPherson moving to the West Coast but dreaming about the East Coast. Nevertheless, she becomes a senior student at a Catholic high school in Sacramento but due to her artistic nature, she joins a theatre program. Her family is struggling financially, especially her father, who also fights depression but Lady Bird is not afraid of having big dreams. She applies to a New York college behinds her mother’s back but can’t hide it. A warm, touching film about life choices, about the troubles of the teenage years and, most of all, about the eternal love-hate drama between children and parents.
