Alex, Bedders, Lance, and Kaye - these are not the names of the original Round Table knights but of modern teen kids who accidentally find themselves on a quest to fight evil medieval forces. Alex is just a 12-year-old boy trying to get accustomed to a new school. As he cannot stand that his best fried Bedders is being bullied, Alex confronts the bullies and soon gets into troubles. One day, while running away from his enemies, Alex comes across to an extraordinary sword which appears to be the mythical Excalibur. This honour comes just in time as England of today is endangered by the wicked sorceress Morgana and her demons. Together with the wizard Merlin, Alex must learn how to be a leader and take his ‘knights’ to a life-and-death battle.
