EditSweet Country (2018)

The film is set in the 1920s, somewhere in the wilderness of Australia’s Northern Territory. Sam is an Aboriginal farmer who goes to help Harry, a war veteran, to restore his cattle yard. The two aged men don’t get along with each other but things worsen when Sam is forced to shoot Harry in self-defense. Killing a white man is equal to suicide for Aboriginal people and little they could hope to find justice. Realizing what will be the consequences of his actions, Sam takes his wife Lizzie and tries to escape the long hand of the law. However, Sergeant Fletcher launches a manhunt after Sam, without expecting that truth always find its way out.
