EditNeon Heart (2018)

Finding your way in our modern society, full of contradictions, could be extremely confusing. This is what happens with the three main characters in “Neon Heart” - Laura, Niklas and Frederik. The girl is trying to escape her past in USA as porn actress. Coming home in Denmark is not what she was expecting but she is making efforts to create a normal life. Her ex-boyfriend is a recovering addict who feels useful as an assistant of two men with Down's syndrome. Niklas starts feeling empathetic to these men but, at the same time, he also develops contradictory behaviour and strange moral which sometime comes too close to perversion. The third player in this somewhat awkward story is Fredrik, Niklas’ brother. The teenager has a difficult time, trying to discover his true self, his masculinity. Here they are - three young people, wandering about, searching for their guiding light in life.
