EditIf Beale Street Could Talk (2018)

KiKi Layne is Clementine "Tish" Rivers and Stephan James is Alonzo "Fonny" Hunt. They are a young African-American couple, living in the 1970s Harlem, whose love is tested in a really hard way. Tish and Fonny are in time of their life where true feelings and endurance need to be demonstrated. The young man has been charged for something he didn’t do and his loyal wife-to-be, together with the valuable support of her family, tries to clear his name. The brave Tish is ready to pass over any obstacles that appear on the path to justice because the young woman is driven by love. There is no way back or option to surrender to the circumstances, since the loving couple is expecting their first child.
