Based on the 2012 novel of the same name by Emily M. Danforth, this American-British drama is set in 1993. Cameron Post (Chloë Grace Moretz), is the high school beauty who lives an ideal life until her prom night. The teenager is caught on the back seat of a car with another girl. Shocked by this ‘incident’, Cameron’s conservative guardians sent her to a gay conversion therapy center, designed especially for teens. The methods, used in this institution are, madly said, questionable. Ironically, it is also the place that offers to Cameron the opportunity to connect to soul mates and to find her place in this unusual community of outcasts.
