EditTenki no ko (2019)

Set in an extremely rainy period of time, on an isolated island, this Japanese animation tells an extraordinary story. Hodaka is a high school boy who is sick of his school, sick of the bad weather in this place. One day he feels encouraged to escape his home island, and go searching for better life and (hopefully) sunny days. However, days go by but Hodaka faces only troubles and his heart is full of sadness. In desperate need for a paying job, he becomes a writer for some strange esoteric magazine. A life-changing encounter on a busy street corner brings hope in Hodaka’s lonely heart. He meets Hina, a girl of supernatural powers who is able to change the weather and clear the gloomy sky. Will she also manage to bring sunlight and joy in Hodaka’s life?
