" This week ‘The Perfect Candidate’ premieres in Danish cinemas. The movie is about the young ambitious doctor Maryam. She works in a small town in Saudi-Arabia and besides her skills, she has to fight for recognition constantly, because she is a woman. One day it becomes too much for her, and she decides to run for the upcoming local election. The movie is directed by Haifaa al-Mansour, who has previously been behind ‘Wadjda’. The Perfect Candidate premieres in Danish cinemas on the 2nd of July. "
