" In the later times we’ve seen more and more movies and TV-series trying to do away with established stereotypes. In ‘Promising Young Woman’ it’s surprisingly not the young overachieving perfectionist girls who are on the line as the title could imply. Instead it’s the ‘nice guys’. Our lead Cassie has after a traumatizing experience in her youth decided to teach the ‘nice guys’ a lesson. Since these guys aren’t always as nice as they think. The movie is a mix between a drama, a black comedy and a thriller, and is written and directed by Emerald Fennell, who has previously been successful with the drama series ‘Killing Eve’. ‘Promising Young Woman’ premieres in Danish cinemas on the 23rd of April.
